Bloomberg: iPad 3 in Production

The iPad 2 (Image Via PCWorld)

Today, Bloomberg has reported that the hyped iPad 3 is now in Production with a high resolution display (possibly 2048×1536), a quad-core processor, better battery life, and even LTE. All of which have been in the Rumour Mill for quite some time.

The Rumours today also state that we will get the iPad 3 in the first quarter of this year. But, Apple may keep the iPad 2 (just as they did the iPhone 4 and even 3GS), to have a few different price points.

Our model currently assumes iPad 3 will simply replace iPad 2; however, if Apple expands the iPad lineup to both higher and lower price points, the new iPads could support growth well above our current estimates. Our current CY13 revenue growth estimate for the iPad is 11%, with the bull case at 30%.
